Make your own Sam

Making Sam is very easy, but children should get an adult to help as scissors are needed.

Sam can be made from any size plastic milk bottle - 1 pint,
2 pint or 4 pint - as long as it has a handle.

Step One

• The first step is to wash out and dry your bottle.

Step Two

• Then, ask an adult to cut carefully around the bottle level with the bottom of the handle and to snip the handle to make the trunk.
• Now you have a basic Sam.
• If you want, you can make Sam's ears by cutting out little ear shapes from the rest of the bottle, or using card, and these can be easily stuck on. You can also decorate your finished Sam - we have given you one idea, but let your imagination go wild!
