Last year, Nampak Plastics were delighted with Millbank Primary School in Cardiff’s novel approach to spreading the recycling message. The school came up with the inspired idea of making recyclable plastic milk bottle sculptures of animals that were threatened by man’s impact on the planet.
Determined that the need to recycle is not forgotten, and inspired by Nampak’s Sam the Elephant, the children of Millbank Primary have now been busy making new elephant pot and elephant mask designs. Elephants are rumoured to have good memories so they are a great choice for encouraging everyone to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The sculptures use Nampak’s HDPE plastic milk bottles – as they are an everyday household item with a strong environmental message. They are 100% recyclable and can be recycled back into milk bottles creating a closed loop recycling process.
